Supply Chain Update March 2020 – regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Dear Business Partners,

The current pandemic and the associated state of emergency is a challenge for people and companies in their private and business lives. 

The protection of healthy people and the support of diseased people are now in all our focus. As a raw material trading company, however, we also have the responsibility to supply the industry and thus to overcome the crisis with the best possible limitation of the economic damage to our society.

We monitor the current recommendations of the authorities, federal offices and scientific institutes on a daily basis and derive the necessary decisions and measures based on them. In order to provide the best possible protection for the employees of our company and to ensure the comprehensive continuation of our business processes, the majority of the workplaces of our companies in Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Austria and France have been relocated to home offices over the past few days. If necessary, the emergency staff currently retained in the office, can also be transferred to home office immediately.

The harmonized, cross-national systems and processes enable us to comprehensively ensure all operations with the usual services. A prerequisite for this, however, are also the continued functioning external interfaces and services of our business partners (delivery partners, transport companies, etc.). For this reason we have intensified communication with all partners. In cases in which these external services are no longer fulfilled, our teams are working with great effort on individual solutions in order to be able to support you in this situation as well.

In the course of this crisis to date, our teams have demonstrated appropriate objectivity, outstanding loyalty and a high level of motivation. This commitment will help our company as well as yours to meet the challenges that lie ahead.
