A cream that feels rich and comfortable and yet is quickly absorbed without having a greasy effect, is definitively a sign of quality for end users. To add consistency and comfort to emulsions, formulators generally use fatty substances or aqueous rheology agents. However, these solutions have disadvantages, including a greasy, shiny or even sticky residual effect.
SunPMMA-X is an outstanding ingredient that displays several impacts on formulas:
- It adds consistency and texture for a high-quality cushiony, velvety sensory effect. This is particularly interesting for highly aqueous formulas that lack 'that special something' that remains on the skin after application.
- SunPMMA-X minimises the residual greasy, shiny and sticky effects of a formula; it helps turn the residual sensation into a powdery, soft, velvety texture.
- Particularly tailored to oily skin, these microparticles are highly absorbent (2.8 to 3.3 cm3/g). This selective mattifying power (it absorbs lipid components without dehydrating the skin) is far superior than that of the other products in the range.
- The microparticles derived from this Korean technology are offered as highly innovative hemispheres that diffract light for a powerful soft-focus effect. The ingredient is perfectly suitable for face care products: wrinkles are instantly smoothed and blemishes are reduced, while the skin's transparency and natural initial complexion are maintained.
SunPMMA-X may be used in any smoothing, unifying, anti-ageing face care formula. The ingredient is also an effective solution for achieving an instant matt effect and will also help correct the residual feel of an emulsion.

For a maximised effect, simply mix 3% to 5% into, if possible, a slightly fluid emulsion such as a lotion or serum. Once the formula turns homogeneous, wait for 24 hours before testing the ingredient's impact compared to your starting formula (as the powder "stabilises" in the formula).
